REPORT TO THE COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 1, 1982.
WD-90-82.
SUBJECT: RELEASE OF DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
ASHTON SUBDIVISION, HAMLET OF SOLINA.
PART OF LOT 25, CONCESSION 6, FORMER
TOWNSHIP OF DARLINGTON. R.P. # M-733
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . That this report be received; and,
2. That the Director of Public Works be authorized to
issue a Certificate of Acceptance for the works
constructed in the subdivision, in accordance with
the Development Agreement between William and Viola
Ashton and The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle;
and,
3. That the Town Solicitor prepare the necessary doc-
umentation for the execution and final release of the
Development Agreement; and,
4. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to issue the
Certificate of Release on behalf of the Town.
BACKGROUND AND REPORT:
In September of 1979 the Town of Newcastle entered into a Development
Agreement with Mr. & Mrs. William Ashton to construct a residential
subdivision in the Hamlet of Solina. Resolution # W-315-80 placed the

subdivision on a two-year maintenance program, expiring November
17, 1982.
The subdivision has been inspected by the Public Works Department
and the owners have constructed and maintained the works in accord-
ance with the terms and conditions of the Development Agreement, and
to the satisfaction of the Town. The owners have indicated that they
have complied with all requirements of the Agreement and and now
request a Final Release.
