REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF MARCH 8, 1982.
REPORT NO. WD-14B-82.
SUBJECT: 1982 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROGRAM.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . That this report be received, and;
2. That Staff be authorized to advertise tenders
for the supply of Non-Asphaltic Road Oil and
Prime and Surface Treatment materials to the
Town in respect of the 1982 Road Maintenance
Program, in accordance with Budget approvals.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
It is usual , in the early Spring of each year, for Municipalities
to call tenders in respect of various materials and services which
are employed during the annual maintenance activities. The first
tenders to be advertised are normally those associated with road
surfacing and dust control .
Staff feels it would be appropriate to take the preparatory step
towards the performance of the road maintenance program, by calling
for submissions on the two priority items, subject to, and in
accordance with, the Budget allocations for the respective items.
