WD-7-82 SUBJECT: ' ASSUMPTION OF HIGHWAY BY THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION & COMMUNICATIONS. PART OF ROAD ALLOWANCE BETWEEN LOTS 12 & 13, BROKEN FRONT CONCESSION, FORMER BOWMANVILLE. RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that: 1 . This report be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: The Ministry of Transportation & Communications, in accordance with the Highway Improvement Act, has assumed ownership of lands shown as Parts 6 & 7, Plan 2695-126. Parts 6 & 7 are portions of the road allowance between Lots 12 & 13, Broken Front Concession, former Town of Bowmanville (Scugog Street) . REPORT: The land acquisition is required to facilitate the widening of Highway 401 , and requires formal acknowledgement by the Town of Newcastle. Respectfully submitted, David T.
