SUBJECT: Proposal for Street Lighting - 1981.
BACKGROUND:
The Newcastle Hydro Electric Commission has submitted the att-
ached 1981 Street Lighting Proposal for approval by the Town.
REPORT:
Updating of existing installations, and additional lights, are
detailed, by location and costs, as follows:
Bowmanville:
Replacements (30)
Additions (44) $18,625. 00
New Installations (Carlisle Avenue) $ 1,337. 75
Note: Lamb's Lane, about which concerns
were expressed during 1980, is now
included in the program.
Village of Newcastle:
Revamp existing lighting (24) $ 2,576. 85
Orono:
Station Street (7) $ 1,343. 00
Total 1981: $23,882. 60�
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT, conditional upon the Estimated Cost of $23,882. 60� being
an item in the 1981 Budget, the Proposal for Street Lighting,
as submitted by the Newcastle Hydro Electric Commission, be
approved.
