Subject: Road Inspection Tour - 1981.
Recommendation:
THAT the dates for the Road Inspection Tour be established and
that all Members of Council, and the Press, be invited to attend
and, further, that Councillors be requested to communicate any
areas of concern or particular interest which they wish to have
included in the Tour, to the Public Works Department one week in
advance of the dates set, in order that an itinerary may be
prepared.
Report:
It has been customary in past years that a Road Inspection Tour
be held and this practice has given Members of Council the
opportunity to familiarize themselves with various areas of
concern and/or controversy within the Municipality.
It is usual that the Tour is held in the early Spring, and in
1980 the dates were April 9th and 10th. Each day's Tour will
commence at 9:00 a.m. , from the Police and Fire Building,
Bowmanville.
It is suggested that the Tour be held in mid-April and that as
many Councillors as are able attend.
