Subject: Resolution # C-591-81. Recommendation: THAT, upon the Applicant, Mr. Kenneth Wayne Coatham, agreeing to comply with Town Policy in respect of the Closure/Conveyance of r Municipal Road Allowances, the unopened street located in Lot 5, Rear Range, Block X, Hanning's Plan of Orono, be closed and conveyed to the abutting owners. Report: RmOtution # C-591-81: THAT the 2etteA 4Aom MA. W. Kay Lycett, Q.C. , dated May 7, 1981, Aeganding Lot 5, Recur, Range, Uock X, Orono (Coatham) be A 4nAed to the Di&eetoA og Public Wonky 4ok a AepoAt to the Public Wonk6 Committee". In March, 1981, a request was received, from Mr. W. Kay Lycett, Q.C. , acting on behalf of Mr. K.W. Coatham, that the Town give consideration to the closure and conveyance of a portion of the road allowance, defined above, and a pathway which led into the Orono Cemetery. Staff recommended denial of the request due to the fact that the pathway provided pedestrian access for visitors to the Cemetery, as well as for schoolchildren of the area. Mr. Lycett requested, further to the above denial, that the Town reconsider the matter in that only the unopened portion of the road allowance be closed and conveyed. On June 1, 1981, the writer made an on-site review of the situation and it is felt that the closure and conveyance, as requested, would not adversely affect the use of the access to the Cemetery by pedestrians in the area, and, there- fore, the Town could grant the revised requested, as outlined in the letter from Mr. Lycett dated May 7, 1981. f '4), i CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE t , OFFICE OF THE TOWN CLERK k' TELEPHONE 6233379 40 TEMPERANCE STREET aOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO L 1 C 3A6 May 22 1981 i Mr. W.
