Subject: Storm Sewer Outfall & Retention Pond.
Courtice Heights South.
Recommendation:
THAT, upon completion of the necessary Design and Contract data,
tenders be called for the Storm Sewer external to the Courtice
Heights (South) Development, and the Siltation/Retention Pond.
Report:
Resolution #C-80-213 (February 18, 1980) authorized the negotiation
of certain lands relevant to the subject matter, and Staff were to
proceed with the required Engineering Drawings in order that tenders
may be called in respect of the construction of storm drainage works.
At a Special Meeting of the Public Works Committee held on June 18,
1981, the matter of land acquisition was dealt with and a recommend-
ation made to Council.
With regard to the Engineering Drawings and tender documents, it is
estimated that the completion of same will be by August 1, 1981, at
which time we will then be in a position to call tenders. For the
latter action, formal authorization is required.
It is suggested that a clause be incorporated into the tender doc-
uments giving ample time, from tender opening to the award of same,
for arranging for the necessary funds.
