Subject: Mill Street Rail (Subway) Crossing, Village of Newcastle. Recommendation: THAT this report be received for information and, in accordance with the recommendation of C.N. Rail, the necessary signs be erected, and C.N. Rail be so advised. Report: Correspondence has been received from C.N. Rail expressing some concern in regard to the number of accidents involving vehicles striking the subway structure at the Mill Street location, Village of Newcastle. The request for adequate clearance signs will be noted, and it is intended that these should be erected at the earliest possible date. Respectfully submitted, : O J. Dunham, Director of Public Works. I also understand that this may be caused by the absence of clearance signs. Since road signs would be the responsibility of the Road Authority, would you please arrange to erect proper warning clearance signs at an early date. Yours truly I o,F I es, P.
