SUBJECT: Parking - 153 King Street East, Village of Newcastle. By-Law 79-1. BACKGROUND: The attached correspondence expresses concerns regarding parking on King Street East in the Village of Newcastle. On September 2, 1980, at the Meeting of the Public Works Committee, Councillor Holliday suggested that the Parking By-Law (No. 79-1) and the matter of Mosport Park should be reviewed. On September 8, 1980, by Resolution # C-80-1143, Council referred other matters of concern relative to parking, to the Finance and Administration Committee, recommending that there be a full dis- cussion of parking matters. It was suggested that any interested parties be invited to attend the relevant Meeting. REPORT: With reference to the subject matter, By-Law 79-1 currently provides for 'No Parking' on both sides of King Street, between Beaver Street and Arthur Street. King Street, between Baldwin and Beaver Streets, (both sides) has a two (2) hour parking limitation. RECOIL ATION: THAT, in view of recent action taken in regard to By-Law 79-1, that the matter of parking on King Street East in the Village of Newcastle, be considered together with those other concerns. 0
