SUBJECT: Sidewalk, Reconstruction.
BACKGROUND:
Quotations were invited for the reconstruction of sidewalks, and
are in the amounts of $1. 74� and $2. 00� per squate foot, sub-
mitted by'Mackie & Reid Paving & Earl Ross, respectively.
REPORT:
Areas where existing sidewalks are deficient and require replace-
ment are:
1, DUKE STREET, Bowmanville.
South of Albert Street. 600 sq. ft.
2. WELLINGTON STREET, Bown-onville,
East of Elgin Street School. 1,460.sq. ft.
3. CHURCH STREET, Bowmanville.
(Fronting the Church) 1,045 sq. ft.
Also needs curb replacement.
4. 73 KING STREET WEST, Newcastle. 632 sq. ft.
The quotations make provision for the placing of four inches (4")
of 4,000 psi concrete, with removal of existing sidewalk to be
done by the Town.
RECON,1ENIDATION:
THAT the quotation of Mackie & Reid Paving Limited, dated July 25,
1980, in the amount of $1. 74� (One Dollars and Seventy-Four Cents)
per square foot for the placement of concrete sidewalks, be accepted
as1 follows:
1. DUKE STREET, Bowmanville
600 sq. ft. @ $1. 74 $1,044. 00
2. 73 KING STREET WEST, Newcastle.
632 sq. ft. @ $1. 74� $1,099. 68.
