SUBJECT: Assumption of Highway.
BACKGROUND & REPORT:
The attached correspondence from the Ministry of Transportation and
Communications was referred by the Clerk for a report and recommend-
ation to this Committee.
As a result of the proposed reconstruction of Highway 401 in the
area of Holt Road, the Ministry of Transportation & Comuiications has,
in accordance with the Public Transportation & Highway Improvement
Act, assumed a .portion of the South Service Road (west of Holt Road) ,
more clearly defined as Part 1 on Ministry Plan P-2695-117.
This i§ standard procedure and, upon completion of the construction,
the relevant portion of land will be conveyed back to the Town.
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT,- in regards to the assumption of highway, receipt of the
information be acknowledged and the Ministry of Transportation
& Co mmications be so advised.
