Thank you for your correspondence of July 29, 1980, in which you enquire if the subject road allowance can be closed and conveyed to abutting owners. This matter will be reviewed, and will be the subject of a report and recommendation to the Public Works Committee, at the Meeting of September 2, 1980, after which time you will be advised of the outcome and Council's action. I trust- the foregoing is satisfactory and will contact you again in due course. Yours truly, J. Dunham. Director. JD:vh i 99 Church St. , Bowmanville, Ont. L1C 1T3 July 29, 1980 Mr. Jack Dunhams Director of Public Works, Town of Newcastle, Hampton Municipal Building, Hampton, Ont. Dear Mr. Dunhams I am the owner of a parcel of land (Lot 7 Cone IV) , in the former Township of Darlington as described on the accom- panying sketch. I wonder whether the road allowance between Lots 6 and 7 might be closed by the Town and sold to the abutting land- owners. I have been instructed by your office that you would investigate this possibility and advise me of your opinion. Thank you for your attention. _ Yours truly, John A.
