Subject: By-Law 79 - 1.
Background:
On the north side of King Street, Bowmanville, west of Brown Street
and east of Ontario Street, is a small shopping plaza which has
two driveway accesses to/from King Street.
Report:
At the present time there exists an extremely hazardous situation
in that vehicles park, on King Street, between the two entrance-
ways, thus severely hampering the visibility of drivers exiting
the plaza.
It is felt that By-Law 79 - 1 should be amended to prohibit any
parking, at any time, in the area between the entranceways into
this plaza. It will be necessary to take measurements in order
to accurately define the relevant section of King Street, prior
to the required by-law amendment.
Recommendation:
THAT By-Law 79 - 1 be amended to prohibit parking between the
entranceways to the plaza on the north side of King Street,
between Brown Street and Ontario Street, Bowmanville.
