Director's Report to Public Works Committee.
Item: Street Name.
Date: October 23, 1979.
Subject: D.R. Agencies Subdivision, Courtice.
Background:
Attached are copies of correspondence directed to this Department by
the Director of Planning.
In a letter dated October 4, 1979, D.G. Biddle & Associates Limited,
on behalf of D.R. Agencies Subdivision, requests consideration and
approval of the name: "Windsor Valley Place" for a street within
their development at Lot 32, Concession 2, former Darlington.

Report:
Since the inception of Regional government in 1974, the matter of
approval of new street names has been the function of the Current
Operations Branch, Regional Municipality of Durham.
This Department has no objections to the use of the suggested street
name, subject to the necessary approvals.
Recommendation:
THAT the request of D.R. Agencies be forwarded to the Current
Operations Branch, Regional Municipality of Durham, for it's
consideration and approval, and that the Director of Planning
be advised of this action.

Date: October 22, 1979.
With reference to your memorandum of October 17, 1979, to which
you attached a copy of correspondence requesting consideration
for the proposed street name: "Windsor Valley Place" for the
subject Subdivision, this is to advise you that this Department
has no problems in the approval of same.
It should be noted, however, that the matter of street naming
falls within the Terms of Reference of the Public Works Committee
and I will therefore submit a Report to the Meeting of October
30, 1979, recommending the approval of the request.
I trust the foregoing is satisfactory and will advise you of
the outcome of the matter in due course.
