Item: Land Appraisal.

Subject: Road Allowance - Part of Lots 18 & 19,
Concession 10, former Darlington.

Background:
Resolution # W-39-79 (Public Works Committee, February 6, 1979)
recommended that the subject road allowance be closed and conveyed
to the abutting owner, at an established appraised value, subject
to the owner agreeing to pay all costs involved.
Report:
The aforementioned Resolution # W-39-79 was adopted by Council
and, by letter dated February 20, 1979, the Region was asked to
prepare an appraisal. The appraisal was, for some reason, received
by the Town Clerk on March 16, 1979.
It will be seen that the attached Appraisal Report contains an
analysis of the invesitagion, and the established estimated Market
Value of the subject lands (as at March 7, 1979) is $13,400. 00.
The road allowance is comprised of approximately 4 acres and, at
$3,350. 00 per acre the total is $13,400. 00.
Recommendation:
THAT the Appraisal Report, as prepared by the Region of Durham, be
approved and the established appraised value of the subject lands
be $13,400. 00.
