Director's Report to Public Works Committee.
Item: Assumption of Subdivision.
Date: December 27, 1978.
Subject: F & T Subdivision, Plan No. 685, BOWMANVILLE.
Background:
In October, 1968, the former Town of Bowmanville entered into
a Subdivision with F & T Developments Limited for the construct-
ion of a thirty-nine lot subdivision in the northern section of
Bowmanville.
The Subdivision is comprised of Meadowview Boulevard, Shoreview
Drive and Sunicrest Boulevard, plus two other small courts.
In 1974 construction of the Subdivision began and homes were
built on thirty-five of the lots, with the remaining four lots
being dedicated to the Town in lieu of parkland.
On July 21, 1976, the Subdivision was completed and placed on a
maintenance program, as per the Subdivision Agreement which ex-
pired July 2, 1978.
Report:
In August, 1978, the Region of Durham and representatives of the
Town re-checked the systems and any deficiencies found have now
been corrected.
The following information is applicable to this Subdivision:-
- Region of Durham Acceptance December, 1978.
- Town of Newcastle Acceptance December, 1978.
- Bowmanville P.U.C. Acceptance July, 1977.
- Lot Levy Payment (May, 1975) $8,750. 00
- "As Constructed" Drawings - received - September, 1976.
- Surveyor's Certificate September, 1976.

Recommendation:
THAT the Subdivision, F & T Developments, be
assumed by By-Law by the Town of Newcastle
and the Subdivision Agreement be released and,
further, that the Town Solicitor prepare the
necessary release for execution by the Town.
