Jpon an on site inspection of the above mentioned, I am
F,reatly cor, cer,,ied as to the existing traffic an(! pedestrian
ha z;'t r6. In prior years this school was kn(vn as the 1sowman-
Ville School. I assume that the existing pavement
rral-kings on 4ueen Street, which are badly faded , were used
at tK at time.
The existing pavement markings are rather hazardous due
to trieir locations, considering the elevation immediately to
the west. In view of all the facts , I would recommend the
following:
(1 ) That a school crossing be located west of
Division Street on 4ueen,,Street adjacent
to the first driveway west of the inter-
section.
(2) That the necessary signs be erected with
pavement markings.
(3) That this crossing be enforced with a school
patrol.
In summary, one should remember that all three recommenda-
tions would have to be utilized for it to be effective; signs
and markings alone are not recommended.
