MEMORANDUM _ ado. ?t}
TO: Ivan Y. Hobbs, Chairman of Public Works Committee
FROM: J. Ferguson, G.E. T. , Engineeri.n, Department
DATE: December 15, 1975
SUBJECT: Schickedanz property north of Concession Street in
Bowmanville
Further to Mr. Beasley ' s letter (attached) regard-
ing the use of Bradshaw Street and Mann Street for
their proposed road pattern for a proposed subdiv-
ision in this area.
At the present time both roads have a total width
of 40 feet and are in very poor condition. The
Developer has suggested that he will grant to the
Town sufficient land to make the roads a total width
of 66 feet. This is fine for the road which fronts
into his property , but what about the cases where
there are existing houses?
The Developer would be required to reconstruct these
roads to the Town' s specifications and standards.
Therefore, I would appreciate your comments on this
,proposal and any further information that you may be
able to advise me on this matter.

Dear Sir:
Re: Schickedanz property N. of Concession
Street Bowmanville
This is to confirm our conversation of December 8, 1975, regarding the
Mann and Bradshaw Street allowances in Bowmanville.
Schickedanz Developments Ltd. owns the lands to the west of these streets,
as shown on the survey plan which we sent you previously. We are currently
preparing a draft plan submission for these lands.
It is our understanding that you have no technical objections to the
proposed road pattern on the Schickedanz lands being connected to these
road allowances. We understand that road widenings will be required
from these lands where they abut the two allowances, both of which
are now 40 ft. in width.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Yours very truly
