Subject: APPROVAL OF TILE DRAINAGE LOAN APPLICATION - JOHN ROZNIK
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the Council approve the
following:
1 . THAT Report CD-3-96 be received;
2 . THAT the Tile Drainage Loan Application submitted by
John Roznik in the amount of $16, 900 be approved;
3 . THAT By-law 95-185 be repealed;
4 . THAT the by-law attached to Report CD-3-96 be approved and
forwarded, together with all necessary support documents, to
the Regional Municipality of Durham for processing; and
5 . THAT John Roznik be advised of Council' s decision.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
On December 11, 1995, Council approved a loan application
submitted by Mr. John Roznik for tile drainage work.
Following approval of the application, it was determined that the
amount identified should have read $16, 900 rather than $17, 000 as
stated in the report . It is therefore respectfully requested
that Council repeal the by-law passed on December 11 and
authorize a loan application in the amount of $16 , 900 .

BY-LAW 96-
being a by-law imposing special annual drainage
rates upon land in respect of which money is
borrowed under the Tile Drainage Act, R.S .O. 1990
and to repeal By-law 95-185
WHEREAS owners of land in the municipality have applied to the
Council under the Tile Drainage Act, R. S.O. 1990, for a loan for
the purpose of constructing sub-surface drainage works on such
land;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington has upon their application, lent the owners the total
sum of $16 , 900 . 00 to be repaid with interest by means of rates
hereinafter imposed;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON:
1 . THAT annual rates as set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto
are hereby imposed upon such land for a period of ten (10)
years, such rates to be levied and collected in the same
manner as taxes .
2 . THAT By-law 95-185 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first and second time this 15th day of January
1996 .
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 15th day of
January 1996 .
