THAT Report CD-4-95 be received for information. REPORT: In July 1994 Council authorized staff to acquire an Engineer's Report and Noise Study on the activities of the outdoor range at the Marksman Club of Oshawa. On October 11, 1994 staff brought the results of that study to Council . At that time Council tabled the Report: "to allow staff the opportunity to meet with members of the Marksman Club of Oshawa and Mr. Steve Jansma to determine whether the noise levels can be decreased at the site by implementing some recommendations contained in the Noise Assessment Study. " Staff have since spoken to the Club President and been advised that the Regional Police have ceased using the range. The President, Mr. Neely, met with staff on December 29, 1994 . He advised that at present his club members are no longer using the outdoor range. The Club intends to experiment with different types of shotguns and lighter ammunition loads in an effort to bring the noise level down to acceptable limits .
