BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: On July 11, 1994, Council approved, in principle, Designated Property Grants in the amount of $3 , 000 for each of the subject properties . The work on the properties has now been completed and found to be satisfactory to the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (see letter attached) . RECYCLED A,E PAPER RECYCLE THIS IS PRIl DM RECYCLED PAPER CD-6-95 - 2 - February 6, 1995 It should be noted that the original grant amount which Council approved in principle for St . George' s Church was $3 , 000 . However, in a letter received from the Ministry of Culture and Communications in September, it was stated that the total grant amount allocated to the Municipality of Clarington for 1994 was $15, 000 . In reviewing the applications for grants, LACAC decided to grant $3 , 000 to each individual home owner and divide the remainder between St . George' s Church and the Newcastle Community Hall . Therefore, the grant amount being requested for the church is less than the $3, 000 previously approved. It is, therefore, recommended that the grant applications in the amount of $11, 364 be approved. Respectfully submitted Reviewed by l P tti Barre, A.M.C.T. W.H.
