Subject: PARKING MATTERS RELATED TO B.I.A. SPECIAL EVENTS
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that Council approve the following:
1. THAT Report CD-21-94 be received for information.
REPORT
At a meeting eld
g on May 30, 1994, Council directed the By-law Division
to review and report on a request from the Bowmanville Business Centre
regarding parking in the downtown during the 1994 Sidewalk Sale. The
event is scheduled to be held on June 16, 17 and 18 .

Staff have been in contact with Mr. Gilpin of the Business Centre and
Ron Baker of the Public Works Department. This is the fourth time in
recent years that the B. I.A. has requested the meters be bagged for the
Sidewalk Sale. Staff have experienced no significant problems in the

past and foresee none this year as this has become a standard procedure.
The meters will be bagged on the afternoon of June 15, 1994 for the
sale.
