PERIOD APRIL 1, 1993 - SEPTEMBER 30, 1993
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report CD-23-93 be received for information.
REPORT:
The attached charts indicate statistical information pertaining to By-
law Enforcement activitites for the period April 1, 1993 to September
30, 1993 and are provided herein for the information of Committee and
Council.
Since April 1, 1993 the By-law Enforcement Division has attended Court
on ten occasions for first appearance matters, prosecutions and appeals.
During this time a total of 51 charges were brought before the Court
exclusive of parking matters. These have resulted in 33 convictions,
and 5 matters being either dismissed or withdrawn by the Town. At
present, 20 cases are still awaiting trials or first appearances.
