CO-OPERATIVE QUOTATION T19-01, THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY
OF CULVERT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend
to Council the following:
1, THAT Report COD-016-02 be received;
2. THAT Armtec Limited, Peterborough, Ontario, with a total bid amount of $ 40,433,16
including G.S.T. and P.S.T., for the Municipality of Clarington requirements, being the lowest
responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions and specifications of the Co-operative
Quotation T19-01, be awarded the contract to Supply and Delivery of Culvert on an "as
required" basis, to the Municipality of Clarington;
3. THAT the total funds expended be provided from the approved 2002/2003 Culvert
Maintenance Construction budget; and
4, THAT at the end of the first year pending satisfactory service and pricing by the low bidder
and pending agreement of the Durham Co-operative participants, that the contract be
extended for a second and third year.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
The Municipality of Clarington participated in the Durham Purchasing Co-operative Group Quotation for
the Supply and Delivery of Corrugated Culvert.
The bids were tabulated as per Schedule "J;:' attached.
The required funds in the amount of $40,433.16 for the Municipality of Clarington requirements, will be
drawn from the approved 2002/2003 Culvert Maintenance Construction budget, from where there are
adequate funds available.
The Director of Finance has reviewed the funding requirements and concurs with the recommendation.
Queries with respect to the department needs, specifications, etc., should be referred to the Director of
Operations.
The unit price bid reflect approximately a 2% decrease over the 2001 contract prices by the incumbent
Culvert supplier.
The subject firm has previously supplied Culvert requirements in the Region of Durham, with satisfactory
service,
