Subject: STATEMENTS OF DISCLOSURE - 1991 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report CD-22-92 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
The Municipal Elections Act states that all registered candidates
for the municipal election must file a financial statement with
the Clerk of the municipality no later than the 30th day of June
in the year following the election year. After this time has
expired, the Clerk must prepare a statement disclosing the
information received and the names of any registered candidates
who failed to file a report.
The Act states that if a candidate's contributions and expenses
do not exceed $2,000 each, a statutory declaration may be filed
to that effect.
Accordingly, the attached statement of disclosure is forwarded
for the information of Council.
The three individuals who have not yet filed their disclosures
were sent a "Demand Notice to Registered Candidates to File" on
July 3, 1992 . They are given 30 days from the date the Notice
was mailed to file the required statements . After that time has
lapsed, a supplementary report will be submitted to Council
advising of any additional information received.

CLERK'S STATEMENT ON CANDIDATES' DISCLOSURE
MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS ACT (SECTION 13215) )
For the campaign period ending March 31, 1992
The registered candidates listed in Schedule A attached hereto
have filed their financial statement and auditor's report,
financial report or statutory declaration of their campaign
contributions and expenses in accordance with the Municipal
Elections Act.
Particulars of the information received from the candidates are
also set forth in Schedule A attached hereto. Copies of the
complete information received are available for inspection in the
Clerk's office.
The following registered candidates have not complied with the
Municipal Elections Act:
