Purchasing and Supply Agent w so°''noHt[oce ato TOWN OF NEWCASTLE MEMORANDUM TO: D. Homeniuk, Purchasing Agent. FROM: D.T. Gray, C.E.T. DATE: September 13, 1982. SUBJECT: Tender No. T82-1 . Schedule "A". Half-ton pick-up trucks. I have reviewed the tender submissions in respect of the above, and find that those of Roy Nichols Motors Limited, Cowan Pontiac Buick Limited and Philp Pontiac Buick Limited do not meet the engine specifications for regular gasoline. Accordingly, I recommend the tender be awarded to the next bidder who meets specifications. At present, all Public Works' fleet operate either on diesel fuel or regular gasoline, and any alternate fuel would involve additional storage and pumping facilities. In consideration of the delay in purchasing the required three 2-tons trucks, this Department will not be sending the old units to the Regio Auction. cc: R.G. Dupuis, P. Eng. G.
