SUBJECT: CONTRACT NO. 5404
CONSTRUCTION OF STORM SEWERS
BASELINE ROAD - BOWMANVILLE
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . That this report be received, and;
2. That Tender Contract No. 5404 for the construction
of storm sewers, Baseline Road, Bowmanville be
awarded to Kamlu Construction Limited, Gormley,
Ontario (subject to M.T.C. approval ) being the
lowest responsible bidder in the total bid amount
of $ 92,750.37 and complying with all terms,
conditions and specifications be accepted.
3. That the funds expended in this project be charged
to Account Number 7205-0513-00561-9.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
A public tender was recently called for the construction of storm sewers,
Baseline Road, Bowmanville with plans, specifications and tender documents
prepared and provided by the consulting firm of Totten, Sims, Hubicki Associates
Limited, Cobourg in accordance with the requirements of the Public Works
Department, Town of Newcastle.

After tender opening, bids were tabulated and recorded as follows:
