SUBJECT: SUPPLY & DELIVERY OF WINTER SAND AND SODIUM CHLORIDE FOR
1982/83 WINTER SEASON
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received, and
2. That the low responsible bidders meeting all specifications,
terms and conditions of the tenders for the supply and delivery
of sodium chloride and winter sand be accepted as follows:

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
I
Tenders were recently called, on a co-operative basis, by the Regional
Municipality of Durham, which included the requirements of the Town of Newcastle,
for the supply and delivery of Winter Sand and Sodium Chloride. After review
and analysis of the bids by the staff, a consensus of departments concerned
resulted in the above recommendation.
