REPORT TO THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION
COMMITTEE FOR THE MEETING OF JANUARY 25, 1982.

SUBJECT: FINAL SUBSIDY ON EXPENDITURES IN THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT FROM JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1981
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That the Treasurer be authorized to petition the Ministry
of Transportation and Communications for Final Subsidy on
expenditures in the Public Works Department from January 1
to December 31, 1981.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
In response to direction from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications
we put the resolution authorizing the final petition for the 1981 subsidy forward
prior to the actual preparation and submission of the petition. The passing of
this resolution will ensure that there is no delay in the submission of the
petition once it has been completed.
