SUBJECT: Insurance Coverage

Report:
Frank Cowan Company Limited has submitted the various insurance polices
for renewal for the period July 1, 1981 to June 30, 1982. In order to keep
the insurance coverage in force, the premium in the amount of $87,089.00,
based on the 1980-1981 insurance coverage, must be paid by September 1, 1981.
The polices were renewed effective July 1, 1981, based on the 1980-1981 coverages.
We are presently reviewing the recommendations for changes in the insurance
coverage and have arranged for a up-to-date asset inventory to be compiled
by the insurance company. A report regarding any necessary changes in the
insurance coverage will be presented to the Finance and Administration Committee's
meeting in September.
Recommendation:

"That the Treasurer pay the insurance premium for the 1981-1982 term to
maintain the necessary insurance coverage. A report be prepared regarding
any anticipated changes to be presented to the Finance and Administration
Committee in September. "
