SUBJECT: Contingency Account & Maintenance and Occupancy Standards By-Law

Recommendation:
1. "That a budgetary allocation of $20,000 be made under the Building
Inspection department to provide for implementation of Maintenance
and Occupancy Standards by-law,
2. "That budgetary allocation of $20,000 of revenue from Ontario Hydro
building permit be made under the Building Inspection Department to
give effect to resolution F-16-81.

staff opinion that an amount of $20,000 to off set the implementation of the
Maintenance and Occupancy Standards by-law is appropriate,
Since all the revenue from the Ontario Hydro building permit is allocated
to the new administrative building project and inorder not to increase the
budget at this time to give effect to the above, it is suggested that
contingencies be reduced by this amount which had been set up for the possible
implementation of committment accounting in 1981,
