SUBJECT: Resolution CS-30-81
"That the Treasurer bring back to this Committee (Community Services)
a report on the revised budget revenue figure for town-owned
cemeteries. "
ITEM: TR-15-81
Recommendation:
"That this committee recommend to Council that a by-law be prepared
to encompass the changes in Schedule "A" of by-law 79-104 as appended
hereto, to be effective July 1, 1981. "
Report:
By-law 79-104 was enacted on October 9, 1979 in response to a need to
up-grade the fee schedule for Bowmanville and Bond Head Cemeteries.
In responding to the need expressed at the Community Services meeting
I have reviewed these rates and am recommending an increase that reflects
the increase cost of operating the cemeteries but still does not bring
it to self sufficiency. The proposed changes will increase revenue
by $10,000 on an annual basis and increase revenue by $5,000 i 1980,
because of the July 1, 1981 implementation date.
