In response to your enquiry about insurance for volunteer
firemen in their own vehicles responding to a fire call
hvtwean their own rpsidencv and rho fire station. We would
advise in discussion with the' Frank Cowan Company that
the same coverage that applies to Members of Council and
staff also applies to volunteers, and in the case of volunteer
firemen when they are responding to a fire calf they would
be covered by the additional liability insurance as approved
by Council approximately one month ago.
I trust this will resolve any concerns Members of Council
may have.
