In attendance: Mr. R. Whitefleld - Totten Sims Hubicki Mr. D. Trotter - Rybka, Smith & Ginaler Mr. R. Cornish - Raycor Electric Mr. S. Potben - Raycor Electric Mr. B. Rohrer - Raycor Electric Mr. J. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING.- ACTION The minutes of Project Meeting -# 7 were accepted by all those present"as being correctly recorded. B. GENERAL REMARKS: 1. The August progress billing will be reviewed following the meeting. 2. Mr. J. Gerrits reported that inspection reports from P. .Au (Structural) have been mailed; Mr. J. Horton submitted to Mr. J. Gerrits an inspection report from Mr. M. Turner (Mechanical). Raycor Electric are to expedite inspection reports from Saldan. RAYCOR 3. Mr. J. Gerrits requested that the. Owner/Splash review their remaining cash allowances (ie. furnishings and graphics) and determine as soon as possible any expenditures to be made OWNER in order that all products can be obtained prior to building SPLASH completion. C. SCHE'DULES & PROGRESS: 1. Mr. T. Gerrits advised that roofing work will commence nextweek. POLLARD 2. Mr. J. Gerrits advised that the finishing schedule will be updated shortly. SHOP DRAWINGS & SAMPLES- ACTION 1. Shop drawings submitted for approval are as follows: a) Electrical fixture F2 submitted August 21, 1980. RS&G b) Letter detail TSH 2. Shop drawings to be submitted as soon as possible. a) Starters: Mr. S. Pothen advised that these would be submitted prior to the next site meeting. RAYCOR 3. Current status of samples. a) Caulking samples - Mr. R. Whitefield reported that be has issued a letter to Gerrity outlining colour selections (colour to match abutting surfaces) and requesting additional colour samples. MCBRIDE b) Paint Materials - Mr. R. Wbitefield requested details on the proposed substitute for Pit Glaze. VANRO c) Acoustic tile & suspension - samples to be submitted this week. MULTIWALL d)' Quarry tile, ceramic - samples to be submitted by September 5th, 1980. Mr. J. Gerrits reported that delivery of all materials is anticipated prior to September BROOKS 15th) 1980. e) Resilient, wood flooring samples to be submitted G1211RITS an soon as possible. MONTREAL f) Skimmer Facegrille - Mr. D. Trotter advised that Mr. M. Yates had found a product that will smUice and should be within Ford's bud-get. Mr. J. Minutes of Project Meeting # 8 held Wednesday July 27th, 1980, at 9:30 A.M. on site. E. STATUS OF CHANGES: ACTION 1. Proposal quotations to be submitted. a) Revised founding depth of footings. GERRITS b) Prop 6-12: Provide ceramic tile to walls of whirlpool enclosure. BROOKS 2. Proposal quotations with the Arch/Owner for approval: a) Prop 0-1: Relocate 6" water line Prop 3-8: Relocate incoming water service Mr. D. Trotter agreed to send a letter on the above immediately. RS&G b) Prop 1-3: Provide isolating transformer - Mr. D. Trotter advised that this is required for underwater speakers to be provided by the Owner; as Raycor could not anticipate the type of equipment selected by the Owner, the above should be an extra to their contract. Mr. R. Whitefield TSH/ authorized Raycor to proceed immediately with the work. RAYCOR C) Prop 2-4: Provide ventilation and additional vapour barrier in cavity walls. Prop 4-5: Provide C.T. wall finish in pool area. Mr. R. Whitefield advised that he has written to the Owner requesting status of the above. OWNER d) Prop 0-11: Provide additional fire dampers. TSH F. S 1 TEWORK: 1. Mr. T. Gerrite advised that the installation of water and gas services are to be performed during the second week of September. FORD G. STRUCTURAL WORK: 1. Mr. J. Minutes of Project Meeting 8 bold Wednesday July 27th, 1980, at 9:30 A.M. on site. H. ARCHITECTURAL WORK: ACTION 1. Mr. R. Whitefield advised that all masonry joints are to be cleaned, the vapour barrier is to be continuous between the precast Vs. TRENT 2. Mr. J. Horton and Mr. B. Rohrer confirmed that theve are no further clearance problems in the lobby ceiling/Stair, #2. 3. Mr. R. Whitefield requested that Mr. M. Brown discuss the purchase of the chair lift with Totten Sims Hubicki AssociatesSPEASH/ Limited. TSH I. MWHANICAL WORK: 1. Mr. J. Horton advised that the botwater tanks are scheduled for delivery on September 8th, 1980. FORD 2. See Section J, Item 5. J. ELECTRICAL WORK: 1. Mr. B. Rohrer advised that the P.A. panel is floor mounted and is located directly below the mechanical equipment alarm panel. (ie. west wall of General Office 1.03). 2. Mr. R. Whitefield advised that the multipurpose room pot lights are to be bronze. RAYCOR 3. Mr. R. Cornish suggested that the clock on the 2nd floor be mounted on the wall of the mechanical room. Mr. R. Whitefield and Mr. D. Trotter agreed to this. RAYCOR 4. Mr. R. Whitefield advised that switches, receptacles, etc. are to be ivory in all painted areas except definite service rooms ie. mechanical rooms, storage, etc. , where brown may be used. RAYCOR 5. Mr. R. Cornish advised that Paycor agree to perform, the following control wiring: a) All lineside wiring to motors and controls unless - specified elsewhere. (Cont I d. on Page 5. ELECTRICAL WORK: (Contd. ) ACTION b) All wiring for mechanical equipment alarm panel. Raycor do not agree that they are responsible for temperature controls ie. air, humidity, washrooms, as this work is specified under Section 15C Execution. Mr. J. Horton disagreed with the above. Mr. R. Whitefield advised that since this project is a design proposal, it should be the responsibility of the design engineers to determine responsibility, and suggested that it should be In accordance with normal trade practice. Mr. J. Gerrits agreed to review the mtter and arrange a further FORD/ meeting if necessary. RAYCOR/ GERRITS Meeting Adjourned. The next site meeting will be held at 9:30 A.M., September 10th, 1980, on site. If any of the contents of this meeting report differ in any respect from your own recollection of the points discussed and decisions reached, please notify us prior to the next meeting.
