HomeMy WebLinkAboutTM-31-80 TM-31-80 TO: Chairman & Members of the Finance & Administration FROM: A.Guiler, Town Manager DATE: July 18th, 1980 SUBJECT: Resolution CIF-159-80 "THAT the Treasurer's report relative to School Board Assessment Study be received for information. "Carried as Amended" Resolution CIF-160-80 "THAT the foregoing resolution be amended by adding that the Town Manager be directed to research the best way to obtain this information from the Durham Board and report back to the next Finance and Administration Meeting." As a result of the above mentioned resolutions and conversation with the Treasurer and Administrator of the Northumberland Newcastle Board of Education, we feel that there is a relative simple manner in collecting the required information from the Durham Board of Education. It was agreed that Mr: DeGroot representing the Town and Mr. Cord Savage representing the Northumberland-Newcastle Board of Education as they have the necessary expertise to gather the required financial information from the Durham Board in order to make the comparisons as requested by Council. In order to have this project undertaken I would respectfully recommend to the Committee that a formal request be made to the Northumberland & Newcastle Board of Education asking that Mr. Savage be assigned to work with our Treasurer on this project.
