SUBJECT: Wage Adjustments - Crossing Guards
On June 10th, 1980 Committee and Council approved the recommendations
contained in Staff Report TM-14-80 which dealt with wage .adjustments
for School Crossing Guards.
In preparation of report TM-14-80 I recommended that the hourly rate
of the Crossing guards be increased to $3.25 effective September. 1980,
It has been brought to my attention that for the years 1978 and 1979
that increases for crossing guards were made retroactive to January
each year and as I erred in the recommendation, T would respectfully
request Committee to make the following recommendation to Council:
Recommendation:
THAT the decision regarding recommendation #1 in report
7M--14-80 be rescinded and that the School Crossing Guard
hourly rate be increased to $3.25 per hour effective January
1st, 1980.
