SUBJECT: 1980 Salary Adjustments
During salary discussions on January 21st, 1980 it was agreed that the
Town Manager would review the following positions and make a recaimendation
to Council regarding a further salary adjustment for 1980:
Director of Carmunity Services
Fire Chief
Firefighter I
Firefighter II
In preparing a recommendation for Council we prepared the attached sheet
showing comparative wages in other municipalities in Ontario. Based on
the survey figures and the Non-Union Salary Schedule prepared based upon
the increase granted by Council on January 21st, 1980, I would recannend
as follows:
1. That the salary of Firefighter I be increased to
$18,471.00 for 1980. (Step 3 for level #6)
2. That the Fire Chief and Director of CAwiunity Services
salaries be increased to $24,000.00 for 1980.
