SUBJECT: Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority' s
Proposal to acquire Townof Newcastle valleylands
on Bowmanv.Llle Creek.
The attached letter was received from the General Manager of the Central
Lake Ontario Conservation Authority on July 26th, 1979 regarding the
above mentioned subject.
In the past it has been the policy of the Tom of Newcastle when considering
the disposal of lands to have the said lands appraised and then offered
at the current market value. I would recommend that an appraisal of these
lands be carried out and the lands offered to the Central Lake Ontario
Conservation Authority at the current market value, excluding the lands
required by the Bowmanville Arena.

At its regular meeting on July 24/79 , the Authority passed
the following Resolution pertaining to the valleylands of those prop-
erties shown on the attached plan :
Res .//111 THAT a request be forwarded to the Town of Newcastle to
dispose of two parcels of property on the Bowmanville
Creek immediately south of Highway i/2 for costs plus one
dollar to transfer title .
