AMENDMENT TO RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP BY-LAW #99-90
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1 ) THAT Report CLD-36-02 be received;
2) THAT the By-law attached to Report CLD-36-02 to amend by-law #99-90 be
approved by Council; and
3) THAT the Animal Advisory Committee be advised of Council's decision.

BACKGROUND:
Schedule "D" to By-law #99-90 is a listing of locations where dog/cat licences can be
purchased in the Municipality of Clarington. This listing should be amended to delete the
following information:
Rolph's Hardware
And to add the following:
Morrison's Hardware
Orono Lumber
Also, this matter was discussed by Staff and Animal Advisory Committee and the general
consensus was that instead of listing each Veterinary Clinic separately, the schedule should
use the wording "all participating Veterinary Clinics located within the boundaries of the
Municipality of Clarington," This will alleviate the need to frequently amend the by-law.
Therefore, Staff submits this amendment for Council's approval.

THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW NO, 2002-
Being a By-law to amend By-law #99-90, as amended, a by-law to
regulate and prohibit certain animals or classes thereof within the
limits of the Municipality of clarington,
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-law #99-90. as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
clarington enacts as follows:
1, THAT Schedule "D" - List of Locations where Licences can be Purchased"
be repealed in its entirety and replaced with a new Schedule "D" attached
hereto and forming part of this by-law,
BY-LAW read a first time this 16th day of September, 2002
BY-LAW read a second time this 16th day of September, 2002
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 16th day of September, 2002
