SUBJECT: Payment. of Membership Fees to Various Municipal Associations
During the past three months the municipality has received notices from
the various municipal associations of which we are members that membership
fees are due for 1979. To-date, the only membership fees paid are Ontario
Good Roads Association and Ontario Rural Municipalities Association and only
because we were notified at the last minute that our representatives would
have no voting rights at the convention unless membership fees were paid.
At this point in time several membership fees have not been paid, and we
will find ourselves in the same position as we previously been in if these
Lees are not paid.
Recommendation:
1) That all. membership fees to Municipal Associations be paid
immediately.
2) That a by-law be prepared to allow the Treasurer to pay these
membership fees .automatically each year.
