SUBJECT: Switchboard operator
In December 1978 Mrs. Couvier submitted her resignation as switchboard
operator effective December 29th, 1978. The Cleric was authorized to
post the position in house in accordance with the provisions of the
union contract, and advertise the position in the local. newspapers.
Mr. Mcllroy received ninety--one applications for the position and
interviewed fourteen applicants and recommends that Mrs. Marg Simpson
be employed.
In accordance with the Terms of Reference given the Town Manager the
Cleric was authorized to employ Mrs. Simpson effective January 15th, 1979.
Recommendation: Receive for Information.
