SUBJECT: Fire Emergency Telephone Answering
Service
Attached for your consideration is a letter from Mrs. Grace Player
requesting an increase in the rates paid for the above mentioned service
and also a memorandum from Fire Chief Hayman with his comments concerning
this service.
For Committee's information we are presently paying $4,800.00 per year
for this service and this rate has been in effect for 1977 and 1978
which amounts to $.55 cents per hour.
The request for 1979 is to increase the rate to $1.00 per hour which
amounts to $8,760.00 per year.
After considering the comments made by Fire Chief Hayman regarding
the addition of the new station in 1979 we would respectfully recommend
the following:
1. That the rate for the answering service be increased to,)
$7,446.00 for 1979 which takes into consideration the
addition of the Courtice Fire Station.
2. That the rate for the answering service be increased to
$8,760.00 for 1980. �.���,�
