REPORT TO THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING OF JULY 7, 1980.
REPORT NO. : P-117-80
SUBJECT: Application for Rezoning No. Z-A-2--4-7
Queen Street, Bowmanville
Veltri & Son Ltd.
BACKGROUND:
The attached staff reports P-77-80 and P-38-80 were considered
at the Planning and Development Committee meeting of April 28, 1980
at which time the following resolution was passed:
"That the report P-77-80 be tabled for one month at the
request of the applicant, pending determination of available
sewage capacity and a report from the Regional Works Department."
(Resolution #PD-163-80)
COMMENT:
Following from the above, staff wrote to the Regional Works Depart-
ment on April 30th, 1980 and on June 10th, 1980. A copy of the reply
from Regional Works staff of June 12, 1980 is attached.
As no further information has been submitted to the Planning Depart-
went in respect of the servicing of the subject property by Mr. Veltri and
as Regional Staff have no knowledge of a "different way" of servicing Mr.
Veltri's property, staff feel that it is appropriate for the Committee to
now consider staff report P-77-80.

Staff note that staff report P-77-80 was tabled on April 28,
1980 for "one month" and has remained an outstanding item for in
excess of two months.
RECOMMENDATION:
"It is recommended that the Planning and Development Committee
consider staff report P-77-80."

79-N-1 Reference is made to your letters dated April 30th and
June 10th , 1980.
On July 19, 1979, Mr. G. D. Cameron forwarded comments to
you concerning the above noted application (copy attached).
We have no knowledge of what "different way" of servicing
is referred to by Mr. Veltri .
On May G, 1980, I spoke to Mr. Veltri by phone to discuss
the matter and was not able to obtain a satisfactory
explanation of the other method of servicing that Mr. Veltri
is considering. Mr. Veltri agreed to come into my office
to discuss the matter with me when he ha(,!. time.
To date, Mr. Veltri has not contacted me.
By copy of this letter to Mr. Veltri , I am requesting that he
contact me to arrange a meeting to discuss the matter.
