REPORT NO. : P-2-80 SUBJECT: Proposed Official Plan Amendment Windsweep Farms (1965) Limited and 385429 Ontario Limited - File: 79-46/D BACKGROUND: On December 12, 1979, staff received the attached application for an amendment to the Durham Regional Official Plan. In accordance with adopted procedures for processing; this proposal has been circulated to Town Departments and external agencies for comments. The Region of Dur- ham has also circulated this proposal and will be placing public notices in appropriate newspapers in order to solicit public input. The results of their circulation will be forwarded to the Town, at which time we shall provide a further report and recommendation to the Committee. AJPublic Notice will be advertised in the appropriate newspapers for the purpose of inviting public input with respect to the above-noted Official Plan Amendment Application. In addition, the amendment application and background material have been forwarded to the followj_ng agencies with a request for comments: Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority Ministry of Natural Resources Ministry of the Environment Town of Newcastle Ontario Hydro Regional Works Department Copies of any submissions received from the public, comments from the above-noted circulation agencies, and preliminary staff comments with respect to the subject official plan amendment application will be forwarded to you in approximately 4 to 5 weeks.
