Report CD-28-89 - 2 - December 4, 1989
Normally, Council must approve designated property grants in
principle prior to the work being commenced. However, in this
instance, the documentation to complete the designation process was
held up in the Solicitor's office for an extremely long time and
it was necessary for the applicants to proceed with the repairs to
the deteriorated bricks . The Local Architectural Conservation
Advisory Committee has inspected and approved the completed work.
The Ministry has indicated that as long as the designation process
had commenced at the time the work was done, the grants would be
processed. It is, therefore, recommended that the grant
application submitted by Mr. and Mrs . Hall in the amount of $675 . 00
be approved at this time.
Respectfully submitted, Recommended for Presentation
