DONOR RECOGNITION PLAQUE
SPLASH SWIMMING POOL
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report CD-27-89 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Some time ago, Council directed the Clerk to purchase a donor
plaque in recognition of the contributors to the SPLASH Pool at the
Newcastle Fitness Centre.
In August of this year, Coyle and Greer Awards Canada Limited was
contacted with respect to the project. After meeting with their
representative, a large walnut veneer plywood honour board in solid
walnut frame, approximately 45" x 52" in size was ordered at a cost
of $2 ,995 .
The plaque has been delivered and mounted in the main entrance of
the Fitness Centre.
