SUIECT: PAY INCREASE - SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
(1) That this report be received; and,
(2) That the School Crossing Guards be granted a pay increase of 4%; and,
(3) That the increase be implemented for pay period #20, September 29, 1988.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
In keeping with Town Policy that the matter of Crossing Guard compensation be addressed
during the summer school break, it is now recommended that the guards be granted a pay
increase of 4% for the school term commencing September 6, 1988. In terms of figures,
such increase would raise salaries to $147.64 bi-weekly from the present rate of $141.96.
The necessary funds are available in Account #7240-00000-0006.
