All Member Municipalities RE: Kawartha Region Conservation Authority Flood Warning Manual Update.- 1987 Attached is a listing of municipal people to be contacted in the event of a flood emergency. I would ask that you review this listing and either verify its accuracy or make the appropriate changes on the enclosed update form. It is important that the Authority' s Flood Warning Manual contain the names of both council designates and flood co-ordinators and their respective alternates . The council designate is responsible on behalf of the municipality during a flood crisis and acts in consultation with the Authority to declare a disaster status . The flood co- ordinator is the principal contact fora flood warning and flood emergency purposes. The co-ordinator implements the munici- pality ' s response to a flood. In addition to the above information, it would be appreciated if you would answer the questions on the update form pertaining to flood contingency planning. Please forward the completed update form -to the Authority by DECEMBER 1, 1986 . On the basis of the information you provide the Authority' s Flood Warning Manual will be revised and dis- tributed back to you. D ISTR- I Thank you for_ your co-operation.
