CD-46-84 - File: 10.2.11 . SUBJECT: REQUEST BY THE MILLBROOK CORRECTIONAL CENTRE OLD TIMERS HOCKEY TEAM FOR PERMISSION TO OPERATE A BEER GARDEN DURING A BALL TOURNAMENT AT KENDAL ON AUGUST 18TH 1984. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended, that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend the -following to Council : 1 . That this report be received; and 2. That Council approve the request of the Millbrook Correctional Centre Old Timers Hockey Team for permission to operate a Beer Garden at the Kendal Baseball Park on August 18th 1984; and 3. That upon receipt of letters of approval from the various agencies, the Club be provided with a letter directed to the Liquor Licensing Board, advising that the Council of the Town of Newcastle has no objection to the issuing of a Special Occasion Permit by the Board with respect to this event; and 4. That Mr. Don Money, R.R. #3, Woodville, Ontario, KOM 2TO, be advised of Council 's decision. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: By letter dated July 3rd 1984, Mr. Don Money, requested that the Council of the Town of Newcastle grant permission to the Millbrook Correctional Centre Old Timers Hockey Team, to operate a Beer Garden in Kendal on August 18th 1984, in conjunction with a baseball tournament being held on that date. Continued . . . . ./2 6� It CD-46-84 - 2 - July 16, 1984 The Beer Garden is to be operated for the benefit of the players only and will be controlled by members of the Club. Staff would recommend approval of the application subject to their obtaining approvals from the various agencies, Regional Health Unit, Regional Police, and the Newcastle Fire Department.
