ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF MARCH 5 1984

SUBJECT: APPOINTMENTS TO COMMUNITY
CENTRE BOARDS FOR 1984
RECOMMENDATION:
1 . THAT the attached list of appointments
to Community Centre Boards for 1984 be
approved;
2. THAT Council appointees to the various
Boards be considered.
3. THAT the Boards be advised of these
appointments.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On December 30 1983, the attached letter was sent,�to Community Centre
Boards in the Town of Newcastle.
Replies have now been received and attached is a list of
recommendations for Council ' s approval .
The Striking Committee deferred consideration of Council appointees
to the Boards until such time as a report on Hall Boards was
ready for review.

The matter of 1984 appointments to Community Centre Boards will
be considered by Council early in the new year. Would you please
make recommendations for members of your Board as soon as possible.
As it is Town Policy to insure five members of each Board, it would
be appreciated if you would limit your recommendations to that number.
Please address your reply to my attention, or you may reach my office
